New Zealand is an interesting place with many things to do. When I was there, I saw glow worms, went swimming, went through fascinating caves, and more in only 3 days! It was very enjoyable.
The first thing that we did was go to Spa Thermal Park. People who visit can bathe in this thermal river and have a calming experience. The river is both hot and cold in different parts. It is completely natural and it’s free. I found it hard to get the right spot because it would either too hot or too cold but once I was settled, it felt so nice. There is not only a relaxing spa river but there was also a fun “zip line” that people can ride on. It is long and exciting to go on. Overall, This was a very amusing place to go to in New Zealand.
The next place I went to and was one of my favorite places. It is the Glow Worm Cave. We took a boat ride through the cave with a group of people. We were told to be as quiet as possible to not disturb the worms. There was also no cameras or lights for the same reason. Despite the strict rules, it was my favorite place to go to. Just seeing all of the brightly shining worms of the ceiling was one of the most amusing things I have ever seen. The explanation behind this odd phenomenon is that it is part of the worms’ survival to glow like this. The light that shines is used to attract insects to eat. The insects will follow their light and get caught in the sticky threads the worm produces. Then it’s a feast!
Another place we went to was the little cottage we stayed at on a farm in the country. The cottage was super cute and small. Each morning I visited the farm animals.
